Rapid Recruitment regularly raises money and donates to local charities. Last year our chosen charities were The Norfolk Hospice Tapping House and Tom's Trust.

This year, our charity is Meadowgate School in Wisbech.

Meadowgate School opened in 1947 as a small special school for children with a wide range of difficulties.

Meadowgate has pupils from 2 to 19 years with learning difficulties ranging from moderate to severe and profound.

The school aims to ensure that every child and young person has the opportunity to learn and to take part in a wide variety of experiences in and out of the school.

The school is very successful in what it does and is over subscribed. They have gone from 120 to 160 pupils and are still having to turn children away.

With a limited budget, the school relies on the support and generosity of the local community. Extra funds will provide much needed specialist equipment, helping the children to develop as well as grow in confidence and independence.

To raise money, we have been selling cakes, fudge, sweets and chocolates, kindly donated by our clients Calico and Kinnerton, as well as cakes made by our own staff here at Rapid Recruitment.

We are pleased to annouce that from our recent cake sale a huge £633 was raised!

Thank you to all our staff who worked really hard in the lead up to Mothers Day.

We hope you enjoyed the cakes and fudge as much as we did!

Recently, two of Rapid Recruitment’s employees attended a Stronger Together workshop. Stronger Together provides guidance and resources to help reduce modern slavery, particularly hidden forced labour. Following on from the workshop, Rapid Recruitment are implementing a number of good practise processes to deter, detect and deal appropriately with forced labour and other hidden labour exploitation.

Modern slavery is an increasing problem in the UK. For criminal gangs, trafficking vulnerable people into the country, and coercing them into work with little or no pay, can be very lucrative.

The workshop gave lots of information on modern slavery. It is an issue that all employers should be aware of; their  commitment to recognising and stopping it will be a big help in reducing this modern day crime.

For more information on Stronger Together and to find out what you can do to help reduce modern slavery visit their website

"I would not hesitate in recommending Rapid as a supplier of Agency labour."
