Purpose of the job
Length of Assignment: 6-9 months, with the possibility of a full time contract at the end of the assignment.
Our client is a leading logistics and packing business, with a new site starting in Sutton Bridge.
They are looking for an experienced Supervisor to lead their new team on this site, which will specialise in the efficient packing a single product.
Duties and Responsibilities
Responsibilities
- Supervise a team of up to 12 people and work to achieve packing targets whilst also considering the safety and quality of the product.
- Organise and motivate the team of operatives, FL drivers and administrators effectively, enabling them to work to the best of their ability.
- Liaising closely with the business’s other sites.
- To be the initial manager of any disciplinary issues.
- To ensure the site is run productively and profitably.
- Completion of the production paperwork including metal detection checks.
Follow all health and safety regulations
Skills and experience required:
Skills and Experience
- You will have a minimum of 2 years’ supervising experience.
- You will have good communication skills and the ability to motivate and lead staff effectively.
- You will have good literary and numerical skills.
- You will be able to work independently and be a self-starter.
