Purpose of the job
Our client is a group of telecoms, IT, and security industry professionals working across the full breadth of the telecoms industry.
They are looking for an experienced Warehouse Operative to join their team.
The site is a fast-paced, diverse environment, with plenty of exciting projects and initiatives.
Duties and Responsibilities
The work is initially temporary, but for the right candidate, there is the possibility of a long-term contract.
Key Responsibilities:
- Consistently working to good standards of health and safety and meeting the company’s warehouse standards and procedures
- Using the computer systems to upkeep the necessary records and reports
- Assisting with the loading and unloading of vehicles using manual handling techniques or lifting gear
- Moving and storing products in the correct warehouse area
- Processing, picking, and packing orders promptly, working towards targets
- Sorting and placing goods onto racks and pallets
- Receiving parcels
- Supporting the warehouse team in various tasks
- Clean work areas
- Dismantling various telecom equipment and preparing for dispatch
Skills and experience required:
Qualifications and requirements:
- Previous experience working in a warehouse environment
- Manual handling training or experience
- Good all-round communications skills (both verbal and written)
- Strong Microsoft package skills with a focus on Excel
- Attention to detail
- Positive and professional attitude at all times
- Driven and passionate
- Time management and efficiency
Working Hours:
Days of Work: Monday – Friday
Day Shift: 08.00 – 16.00
Pay Details:
£13.50/hr
