Purpose of the job
Our client, a well-established and successful kitchen furniture company, is looking for a Woodwork Operator to join their team.
The work is initially temporary, but for the right candidate, there is the possibility of a long-term contract.
Duties and Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
General assistance in the construction of high-quality kitchen cabinets, which will involve:
- De-nibbing and staining in the spray shop
- Cabinet assembly
- Support with cutting of MDF panels
- Sanding doors
- General workshop duties
Skills and experience required:
Qualifications/ requirements:
- Basic math skills for measuring and calculating dimensions
- Basic experience with power tools and hand tools
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Someone who is enthusiastic and takes ownership of their work.
- Previous experience with woodworking and machinery (not essential)
Working Hours:
Days of Work: Monday – Friday
Day Shift: 07.00 – 16.00 (Friday finish at 1 pm)
Pay Details:
Basic Pay : £13.00/hr
Overtime Pay: £19.50/hr (after 40hrs)
