Purpose of the job
Our client is a well-established and successful potato packing company, with good working conditions, including a subsidised canteen.
As a Machine Operative, you will play a key role in our production team by operating bagging machinery and helping to ensure customer orders are completed accurately and on time.
Duties and Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Operating bagging machines within the production area.
- Carrying out start-up checks on your production line before each shift.
- Monitoring machine performance and achieving production targets.
- Using computer screens to follow production orders and specifications.
- Ensuring products are packed to the required quality standards.
- Maintaining a safe, clean, and efficient working environment.
Skills and experience required:
What We’re Looking For:
- Good attention to detail.
- Minimum of one year’s machine operating experience.
- Basic computer skills and confidence using on-screen production systems.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Reliable, hardworking, and committed to achieving production targets.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
Working Hours:
Shift Pattern: 4 on, 4 off
Working Hours: 6:00 am – 6:00 pm Start Time: 5:30 am (to carry out line start-up checks)
